Carved from selected timbers, these horses are unpainted, allowing the natural grain of the wood to delight the eye. Most people feel compelled to caress the wood to experience the thrill of nature's beauty. On completion the horses are protected with at least three coats of Acrylic safety varnish ensuring lasting pleasure for generations to come. As in the case of all Michael's horses, the leatherware is hand-crafted by professional saddlers and can be fixed or removable as desired. In addition, all horses are enhanced with genuine brassware. Manes and tails are of the highest quality natural horsehair with a colour choice of blonde, white, black or brown.

If a re-movable saddle is chosen, saddle cloths are available in plain fabric or the customer’s supplied choice of tartan trim. Safety stands are crafted in the same timbers as the horse is carved. Horses normally have solid steel swinger irons but those of a darker hue are enhanced by brass-plating.
