Hand carved Dapple Greys as shown here are constructed from renewably-sourced kiln-dried pine.

All glues, paints and varnishes are water based. The horse receives 3 - 4 coats of Acrylic Gesso primer, hand sanded before painting begins. After completion, three-four coats of Acrylic Safety Varnish are applied.  

This is a variation on the Dapple Grey -
a Dapple Blue - complete with Tartan Saddle Cloth!    

All leatherware and brassware are genuine and fixed, unless otherwise specified by the customer. Manes and tails are of natural horsehair with a colour choice of blonde, white, black or brown (depending on availability). 

Safety stands are crafted in Douglas Fir for extra rigidity, finished with acrylic varnish.
